I was a podcast guest on Pen Pals Buzz, where we explored the victimology and psychology behind why individuals maintain penpal relationships with incarcerated individuals, even after being scammed. The discussion delved into various factors, including emotional connections, feelings of empathy, and the complex motivations that can drive people to continue these interactions despite past negative experiences. Kesley Roger is a 28 year old, native to Munford, AL. She is a mental health therapist and private practice owner who is licensed in Tennessee, Texas, Michigan and Nevada. She has a bachelors and masters degree in forensic psychology. Due to chronic illness, she had to adjust her original career path from law enforcement to counseling. She began having health issues at a young age which has pushed her to be more resilient and adaptable. She enjoys reading, spending time outside with her dogs and traveling.
